Privacy notice
How we look after your information at Olivetta.
Who we are
Olivetta (“we”) is the data controller for the information you give us when you book or enquire. If you have any questions about your data, contact the restaurant and ask for the person responsible for data protection.
What we collect
When you book, we collect your name and a way to reach you (phone or email), the table and party size you choose, and anything you choose to tell us about your visit — for example dietary requirements or a special occasion. We may also keep a simple note of past bookings so we can welcome you back.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your contact details to arrange, confirm, and remind you about your reservation, and to reply to your enquiry. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are Article 6(1)(b) (taking steps at your request before providing a service) and, for the initial enquiry, your consent.
Marco, our AI reservations host
Marco helps arrange and manage table bookings. Anything you tell Marco is used only to help with your reservation. A member of the restaurant team remains responsible for your visit, and you can always speak to a person.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the people and services needed to run the restaurant and contact you — for example, our booking, messaging, and IT providers, who act on our instructions — and where we are required to by law. Your data is held within the UK or the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and your booking history for as long as you remain a guest. (The restaurant will confirm its exact retention periods.)
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected, and — where it applies — to have it erased or its use restricted, and to object to certain uses. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, contact the restaurant. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
This is a draft notice for demonstration and should be reviewed and adapted by the restaurant before use.
